Leigh Witchel – Editor
Mr. Witchel’s involvement in dance over three-and-a-half decades led him from dancing to choreography to writing. Before founding dancelog.nyc, he was the dance writer for The New York Post and Associate Editor for danceviewtimes.com. He writes regularly on dance for many other dance publications including Ballet Review, Dancing Times, Dance Now, Dance View and Pointe Magazine. He has seen and written about almost every major ballet company in the United States and Europe.
Mr. Witchel is also a 2001 Guggenheim fellow in choreography and the creator of more than fifty ballets.
Martha Sherman – Contributor
A devoted friend and follower of contemporary dance, Ms. Sherman served for ten years on the board of Dance Theater Workshop/New York Live Arts as well as several artists’ advisory boards, and is currently the President of the Board for Mount Tremper Arts. Her love for watching dance brought her to write about it, something she’s done since 2009 at danceviewtimes.
At The Chocolate Factory Theater’s annual gala in 2015, Ms. Sherman was named “Audience Queen of New York City,” an honor she looks forward to maintaining.
